The team
Pieterjan Bouten
At the age of 30, Pieterjan already brings considerable weight to the table when it comes to online and new media. After consultancy work at Accenture he became the first business developer for Netlog.com where he headed business development for the EMEA region. Working with the major international brands, agencies and sales houses, he spurred the growth of Netlog and got to know the industry inside-out.
Pieterjan co-founded In the Pocket and is managing director. Getting things done is what he does.
Jeroen Lemaire
From choosing the futurology classes in his Philosophy studies, to starting up large multimedia fairs when he was an event manager, Jeroen has always gravitated towards digital and online.
Jeroen is co-founder of In the Pocket and responsible for product & quality. He has the vision and the drive to get every app or mobile site from good to great. He helps the team to get there.
Louis Jonckheere
Louis is the second Netlog-veteran at In the Pocket. He managed strategic partnerships concerning mobile and gaming for the social giant.
As sales contact, Louis helps brands, agencies and organizations to come up with the best mobile solution to fulfill any type of (mobile) need. Branded applications, iPad publishing, mobile sites or complex mobile development projects, Louis is your man. Louis is also co-founder.
Peter Minne
Peter is known as ‘the allrounder’ at In the Pocket. He is an experienced web developer and comfortable working both front end (UX) and back end. This broad skillset allows him to oversee the production process of the most complex app or website.
He drinks Rodenbach, by the way. If you meet up with Peter in a bar, make sure they have it..
Christophe Rosseel
Christophe is the sort of person who considers it a compliment to be called a geek. He discovered his passion for all things digital while studying abroad, when he started a blog to keep the home front informed of his (mis-) adventures.
Christophe decided to learn the ropes of online business at BEWEB, Belgium’s first and largest online sales house. He then went on to the realm of web apps as a project manager at Netlog, where he quickly evolved into team lead for business operations.
At ItP Christophe heads operations, he keeps the planning tight and gets the projects delivered.
Lieven Dekeyser
When Lieven started developing software for Mac, Steve Jobs still had hair. 9 years before the dawn of the all-changing iPhone, Lieven was already writing in Objective C. At In the Pocket, he is the chief engineer for all things iPhone and iPad.
Cliff Ophalvens
After graduating as a bachelor in Computer Sciences, Cliff started working at Netlog where he was responsible for the mobile applications and websites. As a mobile software engineer at ItP, Cliff takes the Android lead. He is a passionate Android developer, with more than a few top ranking apps in the Market. Cliff also has decent iOS and Windows Phone 7 skills.
If you’re looking for a fight, tell Cliff why you think the iPhone is superior to Android devices.
Lode Vanhove
After a first experience as .NET developer (C#) at Strand Associates Lode joined Netlog where he worked his way up to lead developer. At In the Pocket, Lode is iOS- and mobile webdeveloper. Lode feels like a fish the water working both frontend and backend. This broad skillset, combined with a good knowledge of UI and UX, make Lode an authority in his field.
Dries De Smet
Dries is passionate about Apple and iOS has little secrets for him. In the Pocket is only Dries’ second work place in just as many years, but there’s not much junior about him. The lifecycles of problems tend to shorten drastically when Dries is on the project.
Dries graduated in computer sciences and is iOS developer at In the Pocket.
Jan-Rixt Van Hoye
When we first met Jan-Rixt, he told us he was a round peg in a square hole. So, we made the hole round and fit Jan-Rixt into the team.
With the longest track record in software engineering of the team, Jan-Rixt manages the ItP-brain: frameworks, libraries, scripts and processes. Besides that, he creates iOS applications – awesome ones.
Jessie Van Petegem
A keen eye for detail and feeling for a balanced lay-out. That’s what a mobile designer needs. Download some of our apps and check those little drop shadows, those subtle gradients & those tasty textures. They’re what make apps stand out and they have Jessie’s name written all over them.
Jessie is our lead mobile designer.
Maarten De Roeck
Until shortly, Maarten was our intern. It took us only a couple of hours to decide that he should stay a little longer. May that little longer become many years… Maarten is both webdeveloper and designer. At In the Pocket he focuses on interactive design for mobile websites and applications.
Alien Leplae
Alien studied communication sciences and is marketing assistant at In the Pocket. She divides her time between office management, administration, marcom activities and sales support. And on top of all that, she has to survive the geeky men’s world that is In the Pocket. Good thing she has Jessie to back her up.
Jelle Nagels
Jelle is a Bachelor in Applied Computer Sciences, and was honored as “most promising student” upon graduating. He got his first mobile experience developing the Netlog Android app at Massive Media. After Cliff, Jelle was the second Android-focused developer to join the team. After hours, he is a professional volleyball player. The team spirit and winning mentality of a genuine athlete is very welcome at In the Pocket.
